OSC Fall Bus Bids set to open on Nov. 1

There is no cost to OSC members to participate!

The Ohio Schools Council (OSC) Cooperative School Bus Committee is preparing for the Fall 2024 School Bus and Transit Van bids for purchases between November 2024 and April 2025 for delivery between 180 and 480 days from the purchase date.  The OSC School Bus and Van bids will be opened on Friday, November 1, 2024. There is no cost to OSC members to participate in the bid.

The following are the procedures for participation:

1)  Complete the online OSC Fall Bus Bids Survey if you are interested in participating in the Fall 2024 Bus and Transit Van Bids by September 20, 2024.  This is for purchases from November 2024 to April 2025.  Link to Bus Survey

2)  If you want to get quotes for Trade-in’s, download the trade-in form, complete and return to krocco@osconline.org by September 20, 2024. Link to Trade-in Form  Please download, complete and return a copy in excel format to Kelly Rocco.  If you do not have trade-ins, please let Kelly Rocco know by email krocco@osconline.org

3)  Pass Board Resolution to advertise and receive School Bus bids on your district’s behalf by September 20, 2024.  If your district BOE meeting is after this date, please include the date the Board will approve the resolution in the survey.  Link to Sample Board Resolution

4)  Email a copy of the Board approved Resolution by September 20, 2024 to Kelly Rocco at krocco@osconline.org or after approved by district BOE.

5)  Review the Bus Bids. Kelly Rocco will email to the contact person that is listed in the bus survey and copy the Treasurer by November 8, 2024.

6)  Before you order, pass the after-bid Board Resolution to use and purchase from the OSC Bus Bids received on November 1, 2024.  Link to Sample Board Resolution

7)   Contact the vendor of your choice directly to order.

8)   Email a copy of the purchase order sent to bus vendor to order bus to Kelly Rocco at krocco@osconline.org.

Districts that want to purchase buses before November can use the OSC May 6, 2024 Bus Bids, as long as the vendors are still honoring the bid prices.

1)  To get a copy of the November bids, please email Kelly Rocco at krocco@osconline.org.

2)  Your BOE must pass the 11/1/24 After-bid Board Resolution before issuing the PO to purchase the school bus or transit van.

3)  Email the vendor PO to order the bus/transit van AND send a copy of the PO to Kelly Rocco at krocco@osconline.org.
