Ohio EPA Recycle Ohio Water Bottle Refilling Station (Source Reduction)
Water Bottle Refilling Station Grant Eligible Projects
This grant provides funding for governments, non-profits, K-12 public and private schools, colleges, and universities to purchase water bottle refilling stations. Grant funds may be used only to purchase water bottle refilling station equipment. Installation, maintenance, and labor are not eligible costs under the grant and must be covered by the grantee.
The next opportunity to apply will be the 2025 grant cycle which will open October 7, 2024, and deadlines December 6, 2024, with a project start date of April 1, 2025.

- Local governments, non-profits, public and private K-12 schools, colleges, and universities
Other Considerations - No match. If awarded, funding covers only the cost of equipment. The installation, labor, and other associated
costs are the responsibility of the grantee - Grant period is 12 months (April 1 through March 30)
- Grant funds must be spent within the grant period
- No outstanding financial or environmental compliance issues with applicant
- No partial awards are issued
- If awarded, timeline extensions and/or additional grant funds are not allowable
- If awarded, initial payment of 100 percent is released on April 1 and project is closed after a completed
