The Ohio Schools Council (OSC) partnered with the Metropolitan Educational Council (MEC) to provide OSC members insured by United Healthcare or Medical Mutual of Ohio an opportunity to save on premiums by joining the Health and Wellness Alliance. This is the first and only Ohio Alliance specifically for public school districts, universities, education based employers and municipalities.

Alliance Eligibility:

Groups 2-500 FTE lives (working 25+ hours per week)
Not already in a Health Consortium
Fully insured with:
United Healthcare (UHC) or
Medical Mutual of Ohio (MMO)
Member of the Ohio Schools Council
No Plan Changes and No Agent Changes.

Alliance growth since inception July 1, 2011 has been tremendous! Thirty-seven (37) school districts and municipal groups currently participate in the Alliance which has grown to 13,000 member lives.

Alliance Annual Discount:

UHC -- 2% premium discount due to growth incentive (3% potential by July 2013)
MMO -- 1% premium discount
Other discounting may apply based on wellness and growth incentives.
